A 30-year-old Dutchess County man who was pulled over on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh for texting while driving has been charged with driving while intoxicated, state police said.
A subsequent investigation after the stop on Tuesday revealed that Oscar C. Thomas of East Fishkill was intoxicated, police said.
Thomas provided a breath sample that revealed a blood alcohol content of .08 percent and was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court on June 16, police said.
He was charged with driving DWI, a Class E felony, due to a previous DWI related conviction within the preceding 10 years.
