Police: Bronxville Man Parked At Diner Caught With Cocaine, Paraphernalia

A Westchester man parked outside a Fairfield County diner is facing drug charges after being caught with cocaine and allegedly smoking marijuana in the parking lot, police said.

Officers from the Wilton Police Department approached Bronxville resident Gustavo Paulino in his car at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Orem’s Diner when they smelled burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Police said that while searching Paulino and his 2005 Infinity G35, they found:

  • A plastic bag of suspected cocaine in the driver’s side panel to center console;
  • A plastic medicine vial that contained suspected marijuana in the cup holder;
  • A blue plastic container that concealed Cyclobenzaprine in the center console;
  • A bag of suspected marijuana in the front passenger door;
  • A glass jar containing suspected marijuana in the rear right passenger floor;
  • A metal one-hitter pipe found in the rear passenger floor;
  • Two electronic cigarettes and a plastic jar with marijuana-like residue found in the driver’s backpack, and;
  • A plastic straw cut short found in the pocket jacket of the rear left back seat.

Paulino, 29, was arrested and charged with use or possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis. His passengers, Norwalk resident Kevan Josephs, 24, and Shelton resident Nirav Shah, 30, were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use and possession of a controlled substance.

Following his arraignment, Paulino was released on $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Nov. 13.
