Scarsdale police officials joined local business owners at Zachys Wine and Liquor to present a pair of $22,500 checks to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and Navigating the Spectrum, which supports children with autism and autism research.
Tara Lee, the New York City Development manager for the foundation and Navigating the Spectrum Executive Director Betty Crea were on hand in the village to accept the donations from PBA member Ronnie Arafieg and Zachys Chairman Don Zacharia.
Each year, the Scarsdale PBA hosts a fundraising golf outing at the Quaker Ridge Golf Club to raise money for various charities. This year’s $45,000 total marks the highest raised by the PBA with one outing. This year’s Golf Classic will be Monday, Oct. 19.
