Scarsdale Police Investigating Several Larcenies From Village Vehicles

SCARSDALE, N.Y. - Police have launched an investigation following multiple reported auto larcenies in Scarsdale over the weekend.

Several Scarsdale residents reported that their cars had been entered and ransacked overnight throughout the village, prompting police intervention.

Patrol officers were dispatched to a Brite Avenue residence late on Sunday afternoon, when a homeowner reported that after leaving the house for more than a week, they came home to find that the front doors of their vehicle was ajar, with the contents of the glovebox strewn about the front seat. An undisclosed amount of money was taken from the vehicle.

Other reported larcenies from vehicles took place on Whig Road, Fenimore Road and three times on Brewster Road. All of the incidents were similar, with paperwork and money taken from each vehicle.
