The North Castle Police Department received a report shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10 of the solicitor, who asked the girl if anyone was home. The girl said that there wasn’t, “but her parents would be back soon.”

The man said he could wait for them to come back, or return in the morning, prompting the girl to ask him to leave repeatedly.

The man eventually took off in an unknown direction down Byram Ridge Road in Armonk.

He was described as a young white man wearing navy shorts and a light blue polo.

Officers responded to the scene and canvased the area, but the man was gone upon arrival.
