GREENWICH, Conn. - Margaret (Cookie) Walsh of Greenwich, formerly of Stamford, died Sept. 18. She was 72.
Walsh was born July 1, 1941, in Port Chester, N.Y., to parents Helen Ziemba Zygmont and James Carl Zygmont. She lived and attended schools in Stamford. The majority of her life she resided in Greenwich.
Walsh is survived by her sons, Todd Walsh and Shawn Walsh both of Greenwich; siblings, Marsha Gallagher of Sandy Hook, James Zygmont of Stamford, Claudette Zygmont of Mass., Donna Roina of Greenwich, Vanessa Breton of Salisbury, Gregory Zygmont of Massachusetts, Debbie Zygmont of Greenwich; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Walsh; her parents; sister, Wanda Swatland; and brother, Gerald Zygmont.
Services will be private.
Donations may be made in Walsh's name to the Greenwich Hospice.
