Off-Road Motorcyclist Crashes In Woods, Breaks Leg In Ocean County
A man was airlifted to a hospital after his off-road motorcycle crashed in the woods in Ocean County, authorities said. Barnegat police responded to a wooded area between Warren Grove Road and Route 72 at around 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, the department said in a Facebook post. Investigators said a 52-year-old man hit an exposed root and was thrown from the motorcycle. He was rushed by helicopter to Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The motorcyclist suffered a broken femur and was listed in stable condition at the Neptune hospital.

An Ocean County man was killed when his tractor-trailer went off the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County, authorities said. Brian Ross, 60, of Brick Township, died in the crash on Thursday, May 9, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the wreck near milepost 43.3 on the Garden State Parkway North in Galloway at around 12:05 p.m. Investigators said Ross's Kenworth tractor-trailer went off the parkway and crashed into several trees. Tractor Trailer Overturns, Becomes Wedged Under Overpass On NJ Turnpike
A portion of the NJ Turnpike was closed in Mount Laurel Tuesday morning, May 7 due to an overnight accident.
